Unable to talk to customer service

I had two orders recently where I didn't get any of the free samples I requested (4 in total). This has happened before, but I was annoyed enough this time to try to talk through the chat icon and see why this seems to be a reoccuring issue.

The chat icon is grayed out and says "chat unavailable". I waited a few hours, closed app etc, still unavailable.

Anyone know why this happens? Or an alternate route to complain about my order?

I’ve had exactly the same problem and couldn’t put it better. Finally today I as well was annoyed enough to send feedback.

@shaylamj  In my observation, this happens after hours. Quite simply, there are no customer service reps on-line. I think sometimes this can happen intermittently as well if customer service is having a particularly busy day.

You could try posting in Customer Support if chat still isn't available. There's also a Help section at the bottom of the page on the Sephora website (at least there is in Canada):
