Two accounts linked to the same email?

I have encountered an issue with my Sephora accounts and would appreciate any advice. When making purchases in-store and entering my email, I discovered that I have two Sephora accounts associated with the same email address. One of these accounts is a VIB member, while the other is not.

 

The problem arises when employees select the wrong account during checkout, resulting in my points not being credited to the VIB account as desired. I was advised in-store to contact Sephora customer support to merge these accounts. However, when I called, I was informed that I need to know the email associated with the second account.

 

The dilemma is that both accounts use the same Gmail address, which appears twice during in-store transactions. Despite explaining this to support, I was told there's nothing that can be done unless I can provide the email for the second account, which is identical to the first.

 

Could someone please advise on how to proceed in resolving this issue? I would greatly appreciate any assistance in consolidating my accounts and ensuring that my VIB points are correctly attributed. Thank you!!
