Temporary Card Not Working

Applied for the Sephora card today, was approved and told I could use the temporary card today with the 25% off coupon with a purchase under $500.

I ensure my cart was under that amount even with tax. Also, matched the shipping address and name to the same details as the temporary card however, when I check out it says "For security reasons, we cannot accept your temporary credit card with Sephora for this purchase. Please change your payment method. Your new credit card with Sephora is on the way and you can use it soon."

Looking at the community forums, this looks like an ongoing issue since 2020. This is ridiculous and should have been fixed by now. Wish I didn't apply, waste of time and a scam.

Edit: Told by customer service I have to wait until my card comes in the mail and pushed it off to contact the credit card company. When you review the app and edit the temporary card, the issue is technical because it did not add in the CVV. This isn't the customer's fault and Sephora needs to work with their credit card vendor to identify why this isn't transferring in and causing this error. When I ask for it to be escalated for technical review, I get a "Thanks for your feedback." Very disappointing being brushed off as I looked into this on the forums and I am not the only customer with the exact issue. This credit card offer is misleading to advertise "apply and use it today," more like 10 business days and that is IF the card comes in time.
