Store Credit

I have a couple of instore cards from merchandise I returned. I understand that they cannot be used to purchase online (which is absolutely ludicrous and something Sephora should change). My questions today ...

          1. Does the store credit have to be at the same Sephora store where the card was issued or can I use it at a closer location?

          2. Can I give my instore card to someone else to purchase products for me? I do not drive and getting in to Sephora stores is not easy.
