Store Credit to gift card?

Hi - I bought a Xmas gift for my sister during the last sale in Nov. She did not like it and I took it in to return it today. Given that it was over 30 days, I was told that I could only get store credit for the purchase, which i thought was fine because I spend plenty of money with Sephora. I had some items sitting in my cart and figured I can use the credit to purchase online.... Only to find out that I can't use the store credit for online purchases. Is there a way to convert this store credit to a gift card or something else so I can make purchases online? My store credit is worth a few hundred $ and would be difficult for me to use since I mainly do online purchases. Help!

Hi- I called the store and spoke to the manager. I was that the store credit can only be used in the store since the store itself is separate from sephora.com. Some stores can make the exception to place the online order for you but it's "against policy". Can't order online, can't reverse the return, can't do anything! No one from Sephora can do anything either. Wished they had told me that when I made the return so I know my full options!! I'm not even asking for my money back. Happily willing to spend it with Sephora but you guys are making it so difficult. I spend plenty of money with you guys and have never abused the return policy! This will be the last purchase I make with Sephora!
