Stolen gift card.

 Received a $50 physical gift card for Christmas from my mom. She paid cash for it. I tried to use it today online and scratched the pin code off. I went to use it and it said $0 balance. I called Sephora and they told me it was used online twice for the whole balance in December- before I got it. It was an online order. They told me they cannot do a single thing even though they see it wasn’t me who used it. They told me to tell my mom to contact the bank to dispute the charge however she paid cash and even if she didn’t, the bank wouldn’t do anything, the customer rep told me that it’s up to the bank if they want to do anything. They won’t reissue my money. They won’t tell me where it was shipped unless it’s a police inquiry. So basically someone stole the money and sephora doesn’t care at all.

Just in case anyone else runs into this issue - Sephora will not do anything. The verified the full amount was used. The PM from the rep basically stated that and that Sephora could not do anything. Sephora truly doesn’t care that people are scamming their gift cards as long as they get the money from it.
