Stolen Package & No Option of Neutral Packaging

I placed a big order during the Sephora sale, and unfortunately had my package stolen from my doorstep shortly after it was delivered. I have a video of the thief from my ring camera and am taking steps with local law enforcement, but I know any recovery is extremely unlikely. The thief opened the package, emptied the contents, and then threw the torn apart box into a neighbor's yard. The neighbor found the discarded box and brought it over to our house shortly after.

 

I understand that Sephora is limited in reconciling a stolen package and expecting a full refund would not be practical on my part, but I'm disappointed about two things:

1. I placed this order during the sale, and had been waiting for the sale to order multiple products. I just talked to a customer service representative, and they are not able to offer sale pricing so that I can place this order again. The best they are able to do is a $20 credit, which is not equivalent to the savings I was able to get during the sale given my status.

2. They are not able to offer neutral packaging. This is my first time having a package stolen during the year+ that I've lived in my neighborhood, where theft is not typical. I would assume the fact that the box is loudly labeled with Sephora had something to do with the thief's choice to grab this box. I had an Amazon package be delivered later that day that went untouched. People know that Sephora products are expensive, and the fact that there is no way to white label packages is extremely disappointing.

 

I am wary to order from Sephora again. Maybe I will pick up things from time to time if I happen to be near a store, but I think I will find other solutions for future orders that offer more flexible delivery options and have better, more understanding customer service.
