Sephoras closing- No more points?

So my sephora in the local j.c. penney is closing and they are rebranding to “jc penney makeup” or something like that. I spent $140 in the store today just for the girl at check out to tell me they aren’t doing the points system anymore andddd i can’t get my free birthday gift because they “stopped doing that” …There’s gotta be a way to add my receipt to get the points. It’s not like every sephora is closing right? Surely i can just use the points online or in another store? Helppppp please 😣

@jessa182 Sorry for the confusion! Although you can no longer earn or redeem Beauty Insider points or your birthday gift in Sephora inside JCPenney stores after 8/31/22, you can still earn and redeem points and redeem your birthday gift at any Sephora or Sephora at Kohl's stores, on sephora.com, or kohls.com/Sephora

@jessa182 @DaneeBT might be able to help but I believe JCP and free standing Sephoras are on a different system. Did you give them your Beauty Insider number? If you didn’t and purchased from the JCPenney makeup counter which is no longer associated with Sephora, there wouldn’t be a way for you to get your points. You’d should still be able to get your birthday gift at a regular Sephora or when placing an order online.
