Sephora scamming customers

I placed an order and was so excited to receive the lunar bag promotion and use my Christmas gift card. I’ve never ordered online before but really didn’t want to go in person. I placed the order online and within 10 minutes the money was removed from my account and a tracking number provided. 10 minutes later I get an email stating the order was cancelled. I call customer service to s which an agent tells me they need to verify my information. They take my personal name, address, credit card info and put the order through again. The order gets processed, I get a tracking number and then 10 minutes later the order says cancelled again.

 

I look at my personal account and see I’ve been charged twice now for my order. I call the customer service line back and the lady laughs at me and tells me there’s nothing they can do but charge me a third time and send in a form.

 

absolutely disgusting customer service, I feel scammed out of my money and will never shop here again. I’m out $500 and no order or promotion or gift card I used to pay partial payment. 

Taking money, cancelling transactions after. I’m an adult, if I want to purchase something, I expect that purchase to be honoured not verified multiple times and triple charges for a single order.

Hi @scammed101 I'm so sorry for the confusion! As your orders were cancelled, please rest assured we have not charged you for either of the cancelled orders. What you may be seeing on your bank account is a temporary pending authorization/hold, not a charge, and it will automatically drop within 1-7 business days. Also I spent hours on the phone yesterday with customer service and verified my information for you guys as requested.

you charged my account again. OVER 500 gone from my account and now I have to wait 10 days to see if you will ever refund it.

my gift card 

all my promotional items (entire reason I placed the order online)

 

you are scamming loyal customers and laughing to them about it over the phone.

 

this should seriously go on the news or maybe I’ll just make a TikTok about this horrific experience and let everyone know what this company is really doing.

What you are saying is false.

it is not a pending charge, the money is gone from account. You guys didn’t even tell me it would charge my account twice when you “verified” my information. You charged me twice and then cancelled my shipment right after. This is a scam and a form of fraud. If my payment had issues, it would not go through and ask me to fix those issues. The issue is on your end and based on the amount of comments saying the same thing you need to have this rectified immediately. This is a problem on your end and your going to lose customers
