Sephora ift card fraud

My mother bought my girlfriend A Sephora  gift card for her birthday late November 2023. She was so excited  to use it at the annual holiday sale. She got to the register and was told the card had already been used. She walked away very sad and spent 40 mins getting the runaround from Sephora only to be told if it was bought at a store it wasn't their problem. Really Sephora? First off how are so many compromised gift cards able to get frauded on your website? Is  your security that bad? Second off what horrible customer service I don't care where it was purchased it has your name on it because somebody thought enough of your company to purchase a gift card with the name Sephora on it. What a joke there are so many posts about Sephora gift card fraud and it still continues?????? Thanks for wrecking my girlfriends day I don't have the heart to tell my mother she threw her $$$ in the trash by purchasing a gift card with the name SEPHORA on it. Thanks for nothing Sephora.
