Sephora gift card shows $0 after transaction failed!

Over a month ago, I tried to purchase something with both of my sephora gift cards. The transaction failed, but when I tried to repurchase, the site said that I had a balance of 0 dollars. I checked for myself, and sure enough, both of the gift cards had no remaining funds. I called customer support and got the same answer everytime. They said that I would receive a replacement balance up to a week later. As I said, it's now been over a month. I am really frustrated with the customer service, especially tonight, as I called three times and was hung up on twice. The third person was unsure of what went wrong and was lost as for how to help me. The whole situation is irking because I feel as though I've been swindled.
