Same here! Why issue a temporary card, when it cannot be used. Per FAQs for sephora credit card, it says that you may place an order right after approval with the temporary card for an amount up to $500. In reality it is not true. This deceiving. Very
I literally just had the same issue. I used my card when I got approved and now that I'm finally getting around to using it again, it won't go through. Completely frustrating.

If you're having issues placing an order with your Sephora credit card, I recommend contacting Comenity Capital Bank directly by calling 1-866-841-5037 (Sephora Visa) 1-866-864-7787 (Sephora Visa Signature), 1-866-702-9946 (Sephora Credit Card), or (TDD/TTY 1-888-819-1918). Sephora Credit Card Services cannot help. Just called them. I have same issue with my new card. This all doesn't make sence. Very bad service!
Hello ladies, I just got this figured out! You need to call a representative and have them activate the card for you over the phone, this is the number 1-866-702-9946
Must be some glitch with activating your card online? But yeah, just talked to a lovely lady and had her activate it for me over the phone, and I was able to make my purchase 🙂 hope it works for yall too!
Yeah...the lady on the phone was like nope, you can’t use your temporary card, you have to wait until you physically get your card...then what’s the point in giving me a temporary digital card and then not being able to use it? Just got my Sephora credit line and already off to a bad start. Smh.

I’m having the same problem! Wasted HOURS Shopping and now the temporary card which I was told would work until July is not working! I see tons of complaints about this. Sephora really needs to clean this up!
2021 and they definitely haven't fixed the issue. It's beyond frustrating.
October 27, 2021 and it is still an issue. Very disappointing! Guess I'll have to cancel my order and order elsewhere.
No, I didn't. I removed most of the order and ordered through a different site. The 2 things I did order through Sephora I had to use a different card.
Same thing happening to me. It says ERROR. I have been trying to place my order since last night. I have been charged multiple times and then refunded so clearly it’s going through but for some reason can’t be completed and says to check everything over when I know it’s clearly right.
