Sephora at Kohl’s…. 

Hello fellow beauty lovers. I just feel the need to rant or say something because I’m not one to get upset over something so small… but during these times, going IN store and buying items has seemed more like a chore than anything. I purchased items on Sephora through the app, I am a VIB Rouge member meaning, I have spent more than I want to admit on skincare and beauty. I am a female engineer in construction and I pride myself on having good skin, wearing bright colored lipsticks, and feeling like a bada*s…. So I spend my well-earned money on myself. I order online because A) you get better selections for free samples, B) on the weekends I do not want to spend my saturdays stuck in a mall because I travel Monday-Friday and am exhausted by the weekend so costing up with a glass of wine and shopping from home is relaxing to me, and C) I like to take my time researching, etc. when purchasing items. LONG STORY SHORT! I went to my local Kohl’s (2 minutes from my house), to return some Amazon items and I brought 2 items I purchased from Sephora that I was like, meh… why not return. Went to return, and was told that I have to go to the malls Sephora or the next closest Sephora is 20 minutes away…. MY QUESTION IS! WTF is the point of having the convenience of Sephora at Kohl’s when I can’t simply return items that I don’t want to battle it out on a Saturday at the mall? I work 12-14 hour work days and the last thing I want to do is go to the mall on a weekend, a weekday, go to the post office to return an item… and we’ll in general, go out of my way as a paying customer for inconvenience. I’m not sure why I am so outraged by this… maybe it’s the fact that I’ve stepped foot inside the Sephora at Kohl’s twice greeted by ladies who don’t know what the heck they’re talking about and they’re rude. The lady accused me of buying it from another source… I pulled out my phone oxbow her my orders and I’m a VIB member… which who cares, any customer walking through should be treated equally. I have worked retail back in the day, and questioning a customer is horrible. I’m just outraged… I work too hard and too long of weeks out in this world and have all along and for someone to tell me to go somewhere else pisses me off. End of rant….

Regretfully, purchases made in our freestanding Sephora stores and on sephora.com cannot be returned to Sephora at Kohl's locations. Additionally, Sephora at Kohl's purchases cannot be returned to our freestanding stores or to sephora.com. I'll share your feedback with our teams for improvements in the future.
