Sephora Store Credit

I returned a product to Sephora and I received a store credit, which I though I would just be able to use online to buy something else, but apparently not. I have never heard of any stores that do not allow you to shop online with credit. I never shop in store because I live far away from the store, and there are many online only products. Sephora PLEASE fix this and let me use this card online. It is absolutely absurd.

Can you please explain why and how this works for things that are available online only?

The store merchandise cards will never expire, and can be used at any Sephora store. The store merchandise cards are unable to be redeemed online, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I hope this helps to clarify!
