Sephora, I am incredibly disappointed...

I love makeup, perfumes, everything related to beauty, but I wasn't a frequent Sephora customer because every time I had been to the Sephora near my house, their service was just awful, so I would do my purchases and try new things in other places. Then a friend of mine insisted that if I wanted the whole beauty experience, I should start buying in Sephora, but online, especially because of the sales and the samples.

 

So, here I am, a few orders after and a Play subscription on its third month, to say how disappointing my experience has been so far. To summarize my experience:

 

1st order - October 2nd: Play box delivered Oct. 17th.

2nd order - Oct. 23rd: purchased a few products, they arrived on the 27th, and I received three samples, but they weren't the ones I had ordered.

3rd order - November 2nd: Play box delivered on Nov. 13th

4th order - November 23rd: made one order, received it Nov. 29th, got another three wrong samples.

5th order - November 23rd: made my second order, received it Nov. 28th and no samples came with it.

6th order - November 23rd: final order of the day, received it Nov, 28th and there were no samples either.

7th order - December 3rd: December play box. It is already Dec. 14th and so far it is still processing.

8th order - December 8th: it arrived today, but there are no samples whatsoever again!

9th order - December 9th: it only shipped today, but there is no delivery estimation yet, which makes me question if it will arrive before I travel for the holidays or not.

 

Why I am complaining in public instead of writing to Sephora. Because I have already contacted Sephora by email 4 times, and either I didn't get a response, or I just got a generic automatic one which did not address my problem. And, yes, I tried calling Sephora once, they put me on hold and since I didn't have the time and I had no idea how long it would take, I hung up.

 

I know that it might happen that they do not have enough samples of one product, what I don't understand is how they can be so careless with shipping that they have forgotten to put ANY sample in half of my orders. Also, make sure that when it is time for the holidays, either improve your shipping methods or state very clearly how long it will take to the orders to arrive because I will probably end up buying other stuff to gift people during the holidays because my orders won't arrive on time.

My last order arrived today. Again, no samples! So, in the past three months I placed six orders, only got samples (the wrong ones, but at least there were samples) in two of them. How is that considered good service, Sephora?

hi there, Someone told me about PLAY subscription too, but since I did not receive any samples with my order and learning that this is a common issue, I would probably not try to order from Sephora online again. So disappointed.
