Sephora Gift Card Fraud

I purchased a $50 Sephora gift card for my daughter from Walgreens on December 4th, 2023, and have the activation slip confirming its value. Today, when we tried to use it for my daughter at the Sephora store, we were told by the salesperson that the card had no remaining balance. Upon contacting Sephora customer service, we were informed that the card had been used on December 16th, 2023, which we dispute as today was the first time we attempted to use it. Unfortunately, Sephora stated they couldn't assist us further as the card was purchased from a third-party vendor. We then visited the Walgreens store where we made the purchase and presented them with the activation slip, but they were unable to offer assistance, claiming only Sephora could provide information on its usage. At this point, we're unsure of how to proceed and are seeking guidance or assistance to resolve this issue.
