Sephora Afterpay Issue

I placed a order on December 22nd and Sephora cancelled my order the same day, December 22nd since the item was out of stock at the sephora location closest to me. I was already charged by Afterpay on the 22nd and my second instalment is due in a few days and still haven't received a refund or cancelled payments as the order is still showing as active on my afterpay account. I contacted sephora and was told to contact afterpay. I then contacted afterpay and was asked to provide the afterpay order number and cancelation email from sephora so I provided all the info requested and they responded basically saying they are trying to reach the merchant to verify the cancelation. At this point I'm not sure if the issue is on afterpay or sephora's end and I would really appreciate some help resolving this problem.
