Samples

I consistently get shipments without the samples I chose. I regularly find this with Nordstrom orders as well, but they don't have the focus on cosmetics and customer service that Sephora does, so I give them a soft pass. I never have this issue when I order from Blue Mercury or Ulta, so what gives? Hasty packing? I have compared notes with friends and family, and I find most have had this issue in every few shipments. Maybe Sephora should simply delete this function altogether and pack samples if possible/available. That way samples become a little surprise instead of an annoyance...
