Samples?

I got my order today but it only included one of my chosen samples. The other 2 samples were substitutions which were fine. However, I noticed one of my options is still showing as available at checkout today. I was really interested in this sample since it's an online only fragrance and not available in stores. Why are products and samples showing as available online being cancelled and substituted? Part of this order was cancelled prior to shipping. Unfortunately, that was also the part I was really looking forward to receiving. I placed a small order again today to try and see if I get my desired samples. This is really strange and seems to be happening much more frequently.
