Sales Tax-Florida

I placed an order today on the website and I noticed the sales tax seemed high. It is 7% where I live in Florida. My only purchase was the $10 play box and the tax came out to $1.12 when 7% of the purchase should be .70 cents. I added my free “birthday gift”, used rewards points for an item, and added 2 free samples to the order. Are all of these “free” items being taxed as well? I know it’s only a few cents but I just wanted to make sure. Thank you!
