STATUS: Unsuccessful Authorization

Hi, just like many others I've recently noticed that two of my orders were canceled and marked as "STATUS: Unsuccessful Authorization" a week after placing them. These orders were placed more than a week apart and paid by different cards, one order with my credit card and the other - with my husband's. Both time at first I received payment confirmations from credit card accounts and Sephora's order confirmations on the next day but about a week after placing the orders their status changes to "STATUS: Unsuccessful Authorization" and Sephora doesn't even send me an email. I tried to email support, but there's no reply, I tried to call but they are overwhelmed with calls due to holidays. If this keeps on happening I will try to make a charge back for Sephora Flash shipping that I was only able to use once. Please help me solve this.

I now noticed I have the exact same issue. I got no email saying anything was cancelled nothing and they charged my card this is crazy and they have no customer service that I can get onto lines are busy This is my first time ordering so I have no idea what to do any recommendations?

So finally I managed to talk to someone from support. Unfortunately, they had no answer for me. I was offered to reorder something on the phone, so they can place this order with a note that my information has been verified and should somehow help with future purchases. I agreed, though I doubt it's going to work in the future. If it does I will update this post.

I promised to update. The order customer service placed on the phone went through and I received it. However a week later I tried to order on my own and again the order got canceled. 

"For your own security and protection, we have cancelled your order # because we were unable to confirm your payment information."

 

Obviously Sephora is experiencing issues with its anti-fraud system. I feel betrayed ((

Im Having the same issue with you rightnow , but when i call them , they said i have multiple accs , actually i had before and they deactivated my other acc and combine the points to this acc , they said i have to wait 72 hours to place online other , but it is over 72 hours i still cant not buy any thing online , it keep Unsuccessful Authorization and i didnt receive any email from them like you . It made me so sad because i have about 8600 points and i want the 500points marc jacob set so bad , but when i went to the store near me they didnt have that set .. What should i do ? Can any mod help me  ?

Do you think they thought you have multiple accs like me ?

To be honest, I'm not sure about multiple accounts. But even if I did have an account with Sephora before, I never used it. It is possible that I registered with them a long time ago and never made up my mind to order. This year I ordered from Sephora for the first time, before that it had always been Ulta or dermstore. My first three orders were fine, I paid with Paypal, but two most recent once, paid by credit cards, got Unsuccessful Authorization status.

Mods, please reply because getting through to customer service on the phone is quite impossible. And it's definitely not a problem with my billing address, works on all other websites.
