SAMPLES IN-STORE

Hey! So I frequent my 2 main Sephora's in the area and neither one EVER give out samples with a purchase. Isn't that one of the perks of shopping with Sephora? I'm a bit confused, did the policies change?

We are honestly RARELY sent package samples, like the ones you get online. If you're looking to try something out, ask a cast member and have them make you something customized to your needs and preferences!

@rhondella Couple years ago they used to include samples with purchase at the registers but they don't do that anymore. I guess they are trying to make sure samples are personalized for each customer - that's why they will make sample of a product that you pick yourself. If you want a sample of specific product you can always ask a staff member. I personaly always ask for my 3 samples - I usually pick skincare and perfume I want to try. Sometimes I ask right away if they have anything in little packetes - they always ask me what skin type I'm and they try to find someting suitable. Other times they tell me right away they don't have any packettes but they will make sample of whatever I want ( of course no powders, eyeshadows etc.)

This is why i prefer online shopping because of the free samples and no lines.

Yea same here but sometimes you just gotta see it in person or smell it in person. Lol!

Hi rhondella!

Samples can differ from each store location based on availability. You can ask a Cast Member in store and they are usually able to make you samples from the tester in store (they sometimes have small sample cups available). I hope that this helps!

Hey Melissabt, I wasn't actually referring to those samples, I was referring to the ones you get when you make a purchase. I just figured they always throw at least 1 in the bag when you make any kind of purchase. Apparently the ones in DC and Northern VA don't do anything if that nature.

I notice by location they have different policies, or just do things different. places that tourist visit like 42nd street, 34th street, they don't give out samples. however all other do give the samples with a 3 limit policy for each section. so like perfume/skincare / makeup. I have gotten 3 from each on most occasions. Because the specialist have their own areas of expertise, and only deal with that. try asking different people.

I never get samples either whether here at home or a store in other cities I visit. Why should I have to ask several people for samples if that's their policy?
