SAME DAY DELIVERY - MISSING - DOOR DASH - SAYS DELIVERED

Just as many people have said before me and I am sure will continue to post about after. Place an order, signed up for same day subscription. Awesome. Paid the small fee to set a specific delivery time. Even better. Delivery time is missed, no update, the store closes, no update, until late at night... Email says doordash delivered, with a lphoto of map as if they physically tracked the order from the store to my home. It is my address, there is a specific time, and...there is of course no package, and no ring footage of anyone near my door, no miss delivery, misdelivery? not an actual word but the lady on the phone kept using it...there was no delivery, I checked with neighbours just to be sure... lastly there is no acknowledgment. The irony that I ordered something this morning to save me time after work, that I am now chasing around for 2 hours in the middle of the night is just high level hilarity. Being bounced around from Sephora Customer Service to Door Dash than back to Sephora is icing on the cake. I also love that they act as if this just part of the routine and tell me to call back in 24hrs (so tomorrow late at night when everything is closed again) to request a refund? Request....? 

 

Why is there a Same Day Delivery Subscription Service, when Sephora obviously does not have the infrastructure to handle same day delivery (at this point I would even appreciate next day delivery with an apology and an explanation). Instead of being gaslit, expecting a delivery at my door (thank god for ring cams or they would probably blame us) and than told to call everyone back in 24 hrs when the system might have updated to know whats going on. Why would it take the system 24 hrs to catch up when you are guaranteeing delivery within 8hrs. 

 

The whole thing is icky.

 

I forgot I stopped shopping at Sephora when my hundreds of points expired during covid. I was saving up for something, and upon discovering this on my first post covid Sephora haul customer service was like "yeah so what?" I now remember why, what happened to the Service Sephora?

Customer service telephone number is experiencing technical difficulties, and funnels you into the above chat.

The person I spoke with at the physical store said I had to go through one of those Sephora direct channels. 
I am at a loss.

I cannot find a gear icon anywhere. Not on my app, not on my browser phone or laptop, please help me remedy this. 

Exactly how do I turn on private messages after you guys decided to turn them off just a month ago. For no reason?
