Rewards Bizaar Points Impossible to Redeem

The Sephora rewards being sold out in less than 5 seconds is a joke and something fishy seems to be going on. 

I have called and emailed to complain on multiple occasions about the rewards being sold out after less than 5 seconds... sold out so quickly that I can’t even make it thru the checkout process before the item is sold out. All they do is add points to my account. POINTS THAT ARE UNREDEEMABLE AND POINTS IVE BEEN TRYING TO REDEEM FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. Some of us have full time jobs, rewards should not be harder to redeem than purchasing hard to get concert tickets. Concert tickets are even easier to score compared to Sephora’s rewards. Can you imagine if any other rewards loyalty program had a rewards structure such as Sephora does?? 

I sit on Sephora every Tuesday and Thursday. Today I was able to add the reward to my basket. In the 5 seconds it took me to add the product to my basket, confirm the delivery details and hit order, the product was already sold out. I’m pretty much fed up with this crock. 

It is apparent that Sephora is either only adding a small amount of rewards or the employees are scooping the reward products up. Sephora’s reward system seems like it’s false advertising and a potential marketing scam. Why offer rewards when one can’t access them ever? Sephora is the only company that I have come across where points earned are impossible to redeem. 

I plan on spreading the word online. Perhaps if enough people publicly call them out then maybe they will do something about their unfair and misleading points system. I used to spend many hundreds of dollars on Sephora. This year, I have not made a single purchase and I never will unless they change their point system. 

There are many other online beauty companies that carry the same products and offer way better customer service and way more samples than Sephora does.

Yes!!!! It’s beyond frustrating!! I don’t get it- why wouldn’t they make it easier? I keep saying once I use these pints I’m going to ulta

Agreed! I’ve been trying to redeem my points for the past couple of months and I can’t! Every time they add something it’s gone immediately! It’s like they only stock 1 item and also looks like a marketing scam to get us to spend to earn points for rewards but we can never redeem them for worthy items, only their scam of 100 points for something that costs $5-10. It’s ridiculous and At this points I’m definitely considering shopping somewhere else, Ulta points are definitely a better value and there’s no hidden in redeemable rewards behind it

this has been happening to me! I have close to 10k points and get to add the item but CANNOT check out! I’m almost done with Sephora altogether.

I'm so sorry that certain rewards sell out quickly and I completely understand that this can be frustrating. Shame on Sephora for such a pathetic excuse. I think I'll start taking my business to Nordstrom where I can just redeem actual items that are available in their store.

Agreed! I have been trying to catch up with the Oerk facials and have spent all day Tues and Thursday watching. I used the bathroom and it is there and sold out. if there is a benefit to Rouge and if it's appreciated on some level, why could we not have an appropriate number available, with a reasonable window to redeem? I know that the 100 dollar reward is exceptional but when money is tight, I would like to use my points. it shouldn't be like concert tickets gone in seconds.

$100-$1000 value rewards for them is nothing when you’re redeeming a bunch of points 1,000+ which the value of that is definitely way more than the value of what the reward is. I smell a scam on their part

The $100 rewards sell out too by the time I checkout and have to pay. I'm not sure why it's a limited supply when it's just a code that gets sent to you unless they're limiting how many can be redeemed each time?

EXACTLY!!! How is there a limited amount of the $100 point perk??? What's the point of being rouge and spending so much money if it means nothing?
