Rewards Bazaar... I know, another one

Hello,

I know this is an issue that has been beaten to death. However, I am super frustrated that I have just under 10,000 points and I can never get anything decent in the rewards bazaar. I finally gave in and use some points towards money off of purchase. I’ve been saving forever to get one of the larger ticket items and yet anytime one comes up there is only one or maybe a handful and they are gone before I can click. For instance, take Joe Malone... I’m  a huge fan and I wonder if those rewards are actually posted, because I’m literally waiting in front of my computer and still can’t get them in my cart before they are sold out! I have been a Sephora client for decades and a Rouge for the last few. I’m getting to the point where I don’t see the benefits of staying loyal to the store, let alone staying at the rouge level. Aside from turning points in for money (which is an actual joke because of how does 500 points? Before you gave rouge a higher point value, 500 points was literally $500... How does that equate to a $10 off coupon?  Id like to know if Sephora is working on getting a larger quantity of items for the higher point values.

One last thought... for those years when you spend double or more than the requisite $1,000, have you considered letting at least that extra thousand roll over and keep you qualified instead of starting over again. It is especially frustrating since I spend most of my $$ in December on gifts.

Rant over, I’d love to hear everyone’s thought. Thanks!

Hi @geekintraining,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding our Rewards Bazaar. Please note, we release new rewards every Tuesday and Thursday around 9am PST. I'm sorry that some of them run out of stock quickly! Additionally, I don't have information if or when we will be offering rewards with higher point values or rolling over your Beauty Insider status but I will gladly share this with our Beauty Insider Team for future consideration. Thank you again for sharing this with us!

Always,

Danee

Re: Rewards Bazaar... I know, another one

Hi Dane,

If you could also talk to your team about amounts... I was scoping out the latest Kaja rewards and checked on the appropriate day/time, but they were gone. When I looked, it said there were only 10 available. 10?!? For the entire US? I don’t think I’m going to even try to keep my Rouge status next year because the rewards are unattainable for the amount of money I spend. I see you are offering a $100 card for 2500 points, but that doesn’t seem fair. In fact last night I ended up ordering a lash serum from Macy’s because I was able to get a really good gift with purchase, plus cash back through Rakuten. If you guys don’t work harder on your rewards program, people aren’t going to try so hard to keep their status... being Rouge isn’t the same as it used to be... my local store used to do great events for Rouge with lots of great freebies and made it an enjoyable shopping experience. The past few years I have not heard a peep from my local store and now with COVID I only shop online. I’m fortunate to still work and have disposable income, but I’m shopping smarter. Your marketing and retail merchandise team reallY needs to take a hard look at enticing your existing customers to shop... and stay loyal. There are Reddit posts, YouTube videos, and message boards filled with thousands of others who feel the same. Please, please pass this on to a team member who is involved in these decisions.... major companies are failing everyday. Sephora needs to work to keep my loyalty and my money... something as simple as a deluxe reward is a drop in the bucket to save a customer.

Thank you,

Melissa

RE: Re: Rewards Bazaar... I know, another one

@geekintraining I agree wholeheartedly. I have over 17000 points (left from the points I’ve already cashed in over the past couple years). It seems odd that the $500 you spend only gets us back a $10 discount. Seems to be on the same line of a carnival game or Chuck E Cheese, all these points and you get the plastic spider ring! Yayyyy (not). And when your order comes incorrectly or you don’t receive the samples you requested, or you contact customer service regarding anything else they give “canned” responses and offer you only 100 points for your trouble. Really? Wth does 100 points get you?? Then they’ll tell you to take advantage of extra reward benefits and 20% off...just the same as any other VIB. Seems like the level of customer service and caring is lowering every day. Sad.

Re: RE: Re: Rewards Bazaar... I know, another one

Right? I finally gave in a while back and used som points for a whole $10 off, but they wouldn’t let me use it because it was a sale item, so I added another item (a staple, but didn’t need it yet) just so I could use the $500 dollar (oops I mean $10) coupon code. Had another frustration today trying to get the Natasha D reward... I was logged in prior to the time and waited, just to have it sell out in the time it took to blink! Why would you only have 10 total? Sephora Makes $4 BILLION a year In revenue... they can afford AND have relationships with everyone in the industry. I’m sure they could get that stuff for FREE and pass it on to their customers. I just don’t think they care, but they really should during a time when retail giants are filing bankruptcy on a daily basis! Anyway, thanks for the feedback, have a safe and fantastic day!
