I received a contour kit cream as a Christmas gift and i tried it out but it's not my color can I return for a different color or is it too late since I already tried it out?

Sephora is really good with returns and hasn’t said anything to me when i returned something that was used after a couple months. Especially if you are just gonna exchange it for a different color!
