Returns- At JCP and with GWP

I have been shopping like crazy the past month only to decide not to keep certain items. I had planned on returning online orders I have made that are unopened, unused and one still in its shipping box with the bubble wrap. I have the receipt for all my returns. I went to a JCP at the mall and immediately the cashier told me she won't accept my online purchase for return because they don't carry Amika blow dryers or the perfume I purchased. She did accept 3 out of 4 lipsticks. This is after she tried to question me by asking if the items were used or why would I want to return so many. I told her I shop a lot and those are unused items similar to other things I already own. I told her to open it to see the lipsticks are new. She then asked why the bite lipstick didn't have a barcode. I don't know? I don't work at Sephora or for Bite. I see how difficult it is for them to process returns since she had to verify every single item by waiting for a customer service rep to pick up the phone and verify info. I was unable to return one lipstick. The cashier said she doesn't know why but she was told it met its limit.

 

So, what are the return policies if purchased online and returned to a Sephora inside JcPenny? Sephora's website makes it seem Ike I was able to make a return. 

 

Is there a limit on returns? I don't want to get flagged. I have my receipts and they are new unopened merchandise. I also have two big item merchandise I need to exchange or get a refund from. I don't want to be banned from doing that.

 

Should I return the GWP for the two items?

I don't have any answers for you, but I want to chime in to say that I've made returns to a JCP Sephora for online purchases a couple of times and every time they process the return as though there is no receipt even though I have my packing slip and provide my email address for beauty insider lookup (there's never any trouble deducting the points for my returns..).  I've always wondered if that's going against me and I'll end up banned from returning anything because it seems as though I never have a receipt.
