Returning used products?

I've had a primer for about a month and it's nearly half used, however it started to break me out really bad so I'm going to stop using it. Do you think I'll be able to return it to Sephora if I explain my situation? I know it is more than gently used, but I won't be getting any use out of it so I don't want to waste my money.
