Returning a gift without receipt

I received a makeup palette for Christmas that I won’t use.  it was purchased at Sephora but I don’t have a gift receipt can I still exchange it for something else?

@favi22 The store would need to verify the purchase in order to offer a return or exchange. If you don't have a receipt, if it was purchased using a rewards account, the store can use that to verify instead.

I had the same question. I have a gift from someone from Sephora I don’t have a gift receipt how can they verify the purchase?

@Valbona2009 If they used their rewards account, the store could find the purchase using their email or phone number.

Hi! i recieved two of the same gifts and don't have a gift recipt for either of them. I also know they were not purchased on an insider account. can i return them? Like can someone scan them and see it was bought?

Hi @bleuy88 without proof of purchase (receipt, credit/debit card used, or item listed in Purchase History), regretfully, our Sephora stores cannot process a return or exchange. I'm so sorry about that!
