Return without a receipt

I received a gift that I will not be using. The two small items are not used, or opened. How can I return them for store credit without a receipt or gift receipt?

Items returned without a receipt but found within our system will be processed according to the Sephora refund and exchange policy. Any products not accompanied by a receipt and not verifiable within our system will be ineligible for a refund, exchange, or store credit. I hope this clarifies.

I received a ysl lip stick as a gift (of course without receipt) and wanted to exchange as I have the same color already. Went in-store today but was turned away because I do not have a receipt. Did the policy change cause I remember reading without receipt but item can be found in the system is exchangeable.

Hi @wingz,

Returns without a receipt may not be honored in store.  The store might able to accept the return/exchange if you are able to verify the purchaser's information and locate the transaction.  Please note that in-store returns are up to the store's discretion.
