Return to store?

I just bought the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue tinted hydrating gel cream in birch 1.5 and i opened it up as i got home to try it and it was too dark, i looked up the shades and they didn’t have opal 1 in the store and i was wondering if i could return it and get my money back ( i paid for it on gift card ) or ask if they have opal in stock and switch it?
