Return opened cologne...

I received a bottle of Dior Eau Sauvage as a gift today instead of the Sauvage.....I figured I'd give it a shot as there aren't many I don't like. I opened and gave a sniff. I definitely do not care for the Eau Sauvage. Am I able to return/exchange it? I know I've seen that you usually can but I wasn't given any kind of receipt/gift receipt with it. Just wondering what my options were.

I got a perfume with gift receipt and I absolutely hate it I sprayed only 1x can I exchange it ?

Also can you do even exchange for same brand perfume if it’s the same price ? Cause I got one on sale and the sale is off now .
