Return denied

I have been a loyal sephora customer for the past 10 years and VIB for the past four years. needless to say, sephora has been my exclusive go-to for my high-end beauty needs. recently, I tried making a return within the 60 day period but was denied. very gently tried products and with the receipt (as always) but because I tend to buy and try products at home, I do make returns. however I was not issued a warning of any sort and was completely blindsided by this denial. sephora did not send out any warning email either. I am so upset because this is my hard earned money that is now going to go to waste because I cant use the products I wanted to return since they didn't suit me. I was a staunch sephora client but now taking my business to Ulta or Nordstrom, both of which have better customer service. really disappointed in you sephora.
