Return denied

I received the incorrect item last week in my order. I returned it the very next day, specified incorrect item received and now I got an email saying return denied. "We are unable to offer a refund because the shipping package either contained incorrect contents or was empty.". I didn't even open the product so it couldn't possibly be empty and yes it was incorrect which is why I returned it.The online chat is down and the wait time for a phone call is so long because of the vibe sale. Any help would be appreciated.
