Return. No receipt. No respect.

I had someone pick me up some items when they were at Sephora in USA. several didn't work for me. I went to exchange them and didn't have a receipt. I gave and ID and was denied return. my mother tried her license and hers got declined too. I don't live in a country with sephora and only visit once a year. it would be impossible for me to have made any returns in any stores in America without a receipt. I think this third party is a way for sephora to deny all returns without receipts. this is horrible considering what I spend with them. absolutely embarrassed and disgusted.

update: spoke to 2 Customer Service yesterday and one today who called local stores. no one will let me exchange. I called the number for the third party. they say I am blocked for 1 year from returning without receipt. they asked if I wanted to appeal and I said yes. there is noreason why I should be flagged. so I have to appeal and wait 30 days for a decision from sephora. note to anyone that reads this. avoid buyinggifts from here because if your friend looses the gift receipt then they will not be able to return or exchange. such horrible service. I was told at the end 'have a nice day' which I responded ' it will be wonderful now that I am 350$ poorer.' tbc...

update 2: I had a friend of mine that doesn't shop at Sephora and also doesn't return without receipt in general try and she got declined. I got my report. the only previous return history was the transaction that day that got rejected. I had no actual past history (which is true because I don't even live in the USA). so based on the system I got rejected for no reason. I will file a claim with the third party as well as report this further. this system is a scam to no longer allow exchanges without receipt. tbc....

They are really good about Exchange or refunds, if you have the card with them they track all your purchases! With no hassle..

All stores are good with returns if you have a receipt and a card.  I am rouge.  Its really poor service if someone gives you a gift or purchases something for you and you want to exchange it and you can't.  This third party thing is such a scam.
