Return Limit??

Hello.
I went to Sephora today to return stuff but the employee said that if I return more the return may not be possible? Wasn't Sephora unlimited returns? 
I recently got to work in the office again. All of my cosmetics have expired. I've been picking up or ordering cosmetics online for the 3weeks and returning it to the store. I don’t have time to go to Sephora to shop so I order pick up and pick up my stuff when I go home from work. Isn't it normal that I check my items and see some items won’t work then return it? And most are returned as new. Sephora said use beauty advisor but you know what ? beauty advisor is really slow and the phone calls take too long too. I can’t just sit my office until beauty advisor to answer me. It's really embarrassing that I can't return what I ordered again. Does this make sense that it is okay to spend money and not return it?

I do the same thing. Buy in bulk and take back what doesn’t work. About two months ago I took back $450 dollars worth of products. These were for the most part brand new or only lightly tested. I got my money back for all my returns. It took forever tho. Not only to check each item but them the manager had to ok it, they needed me to provide ID and answer questions regarding my account. I did get my return though. There should not be a cap.

@myqueenkaylee  While Sephora does have a great return policy, everywhere has limits.  I agree with comments below, and have also heard that TRE will not only look at your Sephora returns but at returns made across their stores.  So if you return too much at Sephora you may also not be able to make returns at say... Victorias Secret.  I'd also point out that even if items are returned in unused condition, there's not really a way for the store to confirm this so they'd have to waste the products.  

I agree for make up it would be faster to go in store and get some personalized help picking out products that will work for you rather than keep guessing online.

@myqueenkaylee Last I knew,  Sephora used a company called The Retail Equation (TRE) to track returns in some way.  They use an algorithm to determine what is an unacceptable amount of returns.   There is an FAQ page on TRE's website that is helpful.

It happened to someone I know . So yes if you over return it’s considered abusing the policy . Regardless if it’s open or not. I would maybe contact customer service prior to making any other purchases . To maybe discuss it. I don’t know if it would matter but maybe will help “unflag” you.

I order all of my skincare and shampoo and such online.  I know what I want and it's easier to get it shipped.  As far as makeup, I go into the store and shop for it so I buy the right thing to begin with.  It's got to be quicker to shop and get what you need to begin with than to make returns. 

I think I've returned three things ever.  One because the color on the box wasn't the color on the case inside (lesson learned and I now double check), one because it was defective and the product wouldn't dispense, and one because I accidently bought waterproof instead of non-waterproof mascara.  So only one of those was my mistake. 

That's my total returns in over 10 years.

@myqueenkaylee @It is known that if you make consistent returns that Sephora can ban you.  It has happened to others on here. It’s not only Sephora but other places as well.
