Recycling Program

Sephora, can you please start a recycling program? The amount of waste we produce with consumption of product/packaging/consumer trends is real! Would love a recycling program to do better for our planet and have into loyalty program/consumer incentives? Use Mac as an example. #recycle

Would you mind re-forwarding this to the Sephora team please? My friend and I are also trying to start being more environmentally friendly but we are having trouble figuring out how to recycle many of our old Sephora containers and packaging. Especially with all the news recently about plastic waste and it’s effects on our bodies and the environment, we think it would be awesome if Sephora could start a recycling program to help further reduce the amount of plastic waste going to landfills and into our ecosystems.

As some other Sephora members have mentioned, other companies have recycling programs in place already or are planning to start recycling programs soon. For example, MAC has its own recycling program which processes it’s own products; and Nordstrom, Farmacy, and Glow Recipe have partnerships with Terracycle to process and recycle their products for them. I know Sephora has many brands in its stores, but if it could start recycling at least some of its products we think it would be a beautiful start.

I totally agree that Sephora should start a recycling program. Right now, I take my empties from all brands to either Nordstrom that does have a recycling box and/or Credo stores. If you have either near you, you could try those.

Let's start a movement for this in 2022!!  I was just in France and my friends there shared that Sephora has a recycle program in France.  I totally agree with you on your post and have vowed to try to influence this change asap!  I'm feeling so guilty about not recycling my makeup packaging. We MUST do something to fix this:) #recycle, #saveourplanet, #bethechange
