Received different samples than requested?

I ordered some stuff along with my birthday gift. I also requested three samples of which I was really looking forward to. I received three samples none of which were the ones I wanted. Two of them are even the same exact sample. I'm a bit disappointed as last time I ordered online I received the samples I requested. I would've rather received a note saying that the samples requested were out of stock rather than receive samples I couldn't care less about.
