Reasons why Sephora using Fedex instead of Canada post

So I sent an email to Sephora asking them to explain why they are using FedEx for shipping for some Canadian customers instead of Canada post and below is the response I receive. I just can't deal with FedEx and always avoid any companies that deal with them.  What's the point of being a rouge member if I have to wait around 10 days and drive for more than 45 mn to pick an order? At this point I have no other choice than stop ordering from Sephora and take my business elsewhere (Sephora probably does not care ) and I am sure most Canadian customers feel the same way. Shoppers Drug Mart and TSC have the same products and we can always order directly from the brands . As you can see below their response is pathetic

Just an update. FedeX left the box at my door even tho I have a note posted at my door clearly indicating " Do not leave packages at the front door" . I recently got my UPS package stolen . So FedEx did it anyway with no care. Thanks God I was able to call a neighboor and have them pick up the package .

Replying to the Sephora moderator

FedEx left a sticker at my door and indicated that this is their second attempt. I ordered on August 02 and I not going to be home during working hours. They will try a third time and then bring the package in their pick up area which is 45 mn away. So by the time I receive the order, it will be more than 10 days. Canada post has pick up locations everywhere and best they have safe boxes( community mailboxes or apt building boxes ) where you can get your order if you're not home.

No one wants to deal with FedEx and Sephora telling me I can shop at the store if the shipping does not work for me is just nonsense.

Hello, this is very interesting since no one is home and I have a clear note at my door asking to have NO PACKAGES TO BE LEFT AT MY DOOR. I am not sure where they delivered the package

Sorry for the trouble! Just to clarify from the email, we use both Canada post and FedEx for Canadian orders. Your orders could ship on either one. However, you should receive all of your orders in the correct time frame regardless of the type of carrier. Also, if for some reason FedEx is not able to leave your order you can always call them to arrange a new destination for pick up or delivery.
