Re-qualifying for VIB

Hello.  If I re-qualify for VIB during the November sale, but then make a return before the year is up, would I keep my VIB status?  In the past, Sephora said that one you qualify it cannot be taken away due a return but I wanted to verify.

@greeneyedgirl107 Once you qualify for VIB status, you will be VIB through the next year. Returns will remove points but will not change your status.
