Problem with Gift Card

My husband bought me a gift card and it was packaged in cardboard. When I opened it, all of the numbers for the gift card and most of the pin are not readable from the glue on the cardboard. I called customer service and they told me that the only option was for CVS to reprint the gift receipt. However, when my husband went to CVS, they did not know how to do this. As a result, customer service said without this receipt, there is no other option and I will just lose the $100 that was a Valentine's gift. I am very disappointed and see this a common problem with the way in which Sephora packages its gift cards. I would like to escalate this to the corporate department as clearly this is a problem that Sephora has had for a long time and now I have a worthless gift card through no fault of my own. I see this has come up before and I would appreciate some help.

@cdami, I'm so sorry to learn of this experience. In general, we're unable to assist with gift cards that become damaged. However, I'm happy to see if we're able to assist. It looks like your private messages are turned off, and you can adjust your preferences in your Community settings (on the browser only, not the app). I have tried to send you a private message, but keep getting an error message. Please reach out in another way to reach me. This is not a "Damaged" gift card. This is a product defect in the way that Sephora packages the gift cards. There are many others in the same situation. Therefore, I would like to speak to someone in corporate about this issue as soon as possible. Thank you.

@cdami You can adjust your account settings (the gear icon) on a desktop or mobile web browser, not the app.

I did. It was not working before, but now the gear icon showed up and I adjusted them.
