Price Match available? Or return and reorder?

Im wondering if I ordered something at regular price and then a few days later a sale is available, is it ok if I return the item I got at regular price and reorder it at the sale price? Will they deny this kind of return? I hope not since I don't think you do price matches.. can anyone help. I'd like to start the return and get the sale item ordered before the sale is over.
