Poorly packed items arriving like trash

I have been VIB Rouge for many years in a row and have purchased most of my skin care and make up online.  Since last year I'm seeing many of my orders arrive damaged and missing items or wrong items.  Then I will get a package that is perfect - like the good old days when Sephora always shipped things perfectly.

I used to always get online orders shipped to me in a perfect size box with lots of padding using cream color paper neatly folded on the bottom of the box and then my items put in the box and then another layer of pristine cream color paper on top of my purchased items.  That so many items are fragile, this packing system is a must.  It always protects my expensive skin care and make up and is a joy to receive.

Within the the last year and twice in the last 2 weeks I've received small items damaged and rattling around in a big box with no proper packing materials.  It's a sad echo of what was once always something I could count on and used to love getting in the mail.

Trying to figure this out I have tracked all my packages and I've come to realize that if a box comes out of the Utah or Nevada shipping warehouse it arrives pristine like always, but if the box is shipped from KY or MS: Points East Coast,  it's not packed with the proper materials, items are left out, items get damaged, and once I got a box and receipt and NOTHING inside the box.  Image getting a box of nothing!

Clearly how things arrive depend on the shipping warehouse they are sent out from.  When from UT or NV it's like the gold standard, from the East Coast things arrive like trash usually with no samples.

I've called and sometimes I get a nice CS person, this weekend, not so nice.

Where is the quality control?

I've just ordered 3 Viseart pallets and fear as I see they are being shipped from TN... a warehouse that has been dismal in shipping items nicely.  My $80 make up palette I fear will probably will be rattling around in a too big box with not enough proper packing materials.

Note, they put things in a box and crumple up butcher paper on the side.  So far the boxes are all too large for the items I've ordered which means things are just rattling around, fragile things.

I'm so disappointed with the lack of quality control, it's Feb and I'm almost back to VIB Rouge again in just a month and few days into the new year...  I went into a Sephora store to buy the Viseart pallets in order to avoid poorly packed shipping but it's only sold online, so I had to order online.

What once was fun shopping that I looked forward to is now dreaded as I see the point of origin for my expensive eye shadow.  Sigh...

I've read other people are having similar experiences.  Sephora, are you changing your ways?  Do you even realize that customers are getting items shipped to them in the bad condition they are receiving them in?

Sigh...
