Do the points ever expire? And Im I’m a vib and about to become a rouge, will the year I’m a rouge start over and will it end in a month

Yes, points do expire but only *IF* you have no activity on your account for 18 months. So as long as you make at least one purchase or even just redeem your birthday gift, then your points will be fine and won't go anywhere. 

As far as status goes, spending does reset each Jan 1., but status achieved in one year rolls over for the following year as well. For example, if you make Rouge tomorrow, then you will be Rouge for the rest of 2017 and all of 2018. But in order to keep Rouge status in 2019, you'd have to spend $1000 again between Jan. 1 of next year and the end of the year.

ur points will not expire but ur spending resets in janurary .so u have to spend $1000 to bcme a rouge
