Points Disappeared

Today I logged into my Sephora account and saw that my 1400+ points gave disappeared! Apparently expired after I hadn't used my account! But I was never notified this would happen and was never told Sephora points expired! I wasn't aware it was over a year since I had shopped online but makes since with a lack of cash flow due to COVID. I know I have stepped into a store within less than a year but I must have not used my account at check out or the wrong number. This is outrageous as I have been saving for a long time and was never told my points could expire! Can someone please help me resolve this issue:(
