Payment error

I have been trying to make a purchase on Sephora's website for several hours and can't get my master card to work. When I go to click place order, I get a message box saying: \"Payment error - your payment could not be processed. Please verify that your card number, expiration date and cvn are correct and that your billing address matches what the bank has on file. We have reversed any pending charges to your account.\"
