Package was lost, ended up being delivered later very late and all of the components are missing...

I ordered the dyson air wrap and i happened to be out of the house the until the night of the day it was delivered. came home, no package, asked around with neighbors and roommates, they did not see it either. Im panicking and worried cause one, its expensive, and two, it was a gift for someone so now i need to get a replacement gift for even more money. sephora refused to give a refund, i made like 3 calls and even spoke to the manager. was going to work it out with my bank and it ended up delivered 3 days after my last call..... box clearly tampered with and NONE of the hair styler components inside. NOTHING. literally only the dyson airwrap box was inside, which is pretty heavy in itself so i had no idea it was missing stuff.... i dont know what to do. i doubt i can ship back like this + i've been seeing returns being marked as "empty" upon receiving at sephora which i dont want happeneing cause its $650... want to return in stores but im afraid theyll call me a liar. need help please
