Package Says Delivered But No Package

I ordered a couple of items around 1/9/2019. My tracking information then informed me that my package has been delivered in front of my door around 1/11/19 at around 9-11am. I went to check to see if the package was there but there wasn’t any packages. I only noticed a couple of letters that the mail man would usually deliver. Was my package sent to the wrong address? Will it arrive any time soon? I live in a safe neighborhood that doesn’t steal packages so I’m very confused since the tracking information has been misleading. Please help!

I just checked on the status of my order and it says it was delivered on January 9th 2021, but I still have not received it. I checked with my neighbors and no one has received a package from Sephora. It's really weird because I never have had a package stolen from my porch before.

Hi @ValarieSot It depends on who delivered the package. Both UPS and USPS use scanners with GPS tracking to scan  your package that have the ability to tell you exactly where the package was scanned. You can call them on Monday and they will provide you with the information if it indeed was one of those carries. If it was a third party delivery company it would be best to contact Sephora directly and try to have them help you out.

@ValarieSot I have had that happen with the postal service. I called the post office and the mail carrier had just forgotten to deliver that package. They delivered it the next day.

@ValarieSot Sometimes carriers mark delivered before actually delivering or put it at the wrong house, check your neighbors- even across the street. You need to contact Sephora to start a claim. Post in Customer Service for  a mod to see; call Sephora for a faster response.

Okay thanks! Is it common for them to mark delivered before actually delivering the package? I called them and they said to wait about 24-48 hours. Unfortunately, it is a weekend so I'm going to have to wait until Monday to see if anything shows up. 😞

@ValarieSotthe USPS should not scan packages delivered until they are being delivered. I'm pretty sure it is the same with UPS. I always see them scanning the package as they are handing it to me or putting it on my porch.

The tracking link says its by laser ship but the people who mail it is USPS.

Lasership is quite unreliable, unfortunately. A search here on the forums pulls up 205 results, and while I haven't read every single thread, all of the ones I did read are complaints. I'd recommend posting in the Customer Support Group, or else calling Sephora CS to get some assistance.

@RGbrownthat's what I remembered from past comments, always hoping things would improve with them. We don't have Lasership in the New Hampshire, is it strictly regional or nationwide?

Lasership is a regional carrier, servicing select major metro areas up and down the East Coast.

I was doing some research and found that laser ship was very unreliable. Thanks for letting me know! I called Sephora's customer support and they told me they'd be re-sending my items. Even though it was a small package, it's the fact that these delivery companies are misleading us or losing our packages. It's frustrating.

When a small/local carrier is involved they aren't regulated like the big names..and a cheaper option. Lasership drivers are independent contractors, driver their own car.
