Order w/3x points?.?

Hello Sephora,

I placed an order that came to $55.00 (55 points) - I figured it would be tripled in which case I would bump up to VIBRouge. On here - the groups and posts - it says I'm already a VIBRouge but I am still VIB until I reached another 8? points. Will the points triple so I am VIBRouge on Sephora's website? This is all a bit confusing to me......

Please help me....

Oh my darling @cynnymn :). The points do not count towards your status. The money you spend in a calendar year does. So if you spent 1k last year or this year you would be rouge. Like I already re-rouged this year and so now I will be rouge until Dec 31st 2018. Unless of course I re-rouge in 2018.... then the date will change to Dec 31st 2019. The points are a totally different thing. Money spent in a calendar year is what determines your status 😉

I don't know about your account, so I'm not sure whether you're actually VIB or Rouge, since you're right - you are showing up as a Rouge next to your username on the Beauty Insider Community here.

However, to be clear, your points have nothing to do with your Beauty Insider Status. Your status (tier) is based on your spending in a calendar year. So even though your points were tripled from your $55.00 purchase, that only gives you bonus points and it won't impact your year-to-date spending. 

I'm guessing that you are a Rouge until December 31, 2017 (so you're currently a Rouge) or were a Rouge in 2016 (and the BIC community hasn't updated that you're no longer a Rouge). For you to renew your Rouge status for 2018, you must spend at least $1,000.00 in 2017. If you check your Beauty Insider profile on here, you can select a tab that will show you your spending for the year which can help tell you how much spending you need to reach Rouge.

Besides your help, which I appreciate, My points were only doubled - not tripled. I spent $55-, and I got 110 points when I should have received 165 points. If you are not comfortable helping me DaneeBT has helped me numerous times before and is aware of the VIB / VIBRouge confusion. @veronika23 and @lachaton - Thank You both for your help. Embarrassingly enough I understand what BOTH of you have said, I guess today is one of those old lady days.  I was looking at everything a** backwards!!! LOL

@cynnymn I'm actually not a mod, so I can't help you with looking at your account 🙂 I'll tag @DaneeBT at the end, in case you need to contact her for further help since she is a mod. 

But the details of this points multiplier say you should see the points added within 24 hours. If you look at your Beauty Insider account page, you should see a chart of your Recent Activity. The bonus points are added separately, so for one order there should be two separate entries - one will show your base points (you spent $55 so your base points would be 55) and the second will show your bonus points (if you're a VIB, that's 3x the points. So your second entry should show 110 points.) When you add up both entries, you'll get your total so 55 (base) + 110 (bonus) = 165 (total). 

If you can see the two entries reflecting your base and bonus, then you should be good 🙂 If you only see the base, but don't see the bonus, wait at least 24 hours from the purchase to see if the bonus is added in that timeframe. Otherwise, if you have two entries - one for 55 (base) and one with only 55 for your bonus, try contacting CS either by messaging one of the mods (like Danee) or phoning CS.

ok, that helps a bit - about the points and spending. I was put back to VIB this year because I was about 18-20 points (I was told) away from Rouge. One of the BT's was going to look into it for me but I don't remember if I heard back from her or not. When will I see the 3x points into my account? Thanks again for the clarification!!!  =P
