Order stuck at awaiting carrier pickup for days?

I placed a fairly large online order earlier this week that had an estimated delivery date of today. When my package did not arrive I went to check the tracking to see where it was and when it would be delivered, but the delivery date is still listed as today, there is no tracking available yet, and it still says “awaiting carrier pickup.” 

I understand shipping delays happen but I’m just a little nervous that even though it was supposed already shipped, there’s been no movement on the order for 2 days and there’s still not any tracking available yet even after the estimated delivery date.

 

Searching the forums this seemed to be a common issue where people’s orders would be stuck at “awaiting carrier pickup” for long periods of time (sometimes weeks) and they had to request customer support help to finally get their order sent, so I wanted to ask if this is normal and my order is actually still on the way, or if something is wrong?

Mine was at the shipping facility and Sephora decided to cancel it. Good luck, I hope you get yours.
